I began to experience my doors locking on its own when the car was running...I when inside and my neighbor rang the bell to let me now my lights were flashing....It was my alarm or (door Locks locking). Has ANYONE have this happen to them?

How do you program them?

 

Go to the setting's button under the information screen. The doors should lock as soon as you start your car. Thats how mine works.

 

You should be able to go to your setting button under the screen, scholl down fins something that says automatic locking. Switch it to no. That happened to me when I first brought the car. I hope it helps.

 

I scrolled thru settings and I couldn't seem to find anything that gave me the option to lock the doors as soon as I put it in drive? Am I missing something?

 

The doors should lock when you start the car and then open when you turn the car off.

To shut off auto lock press settings button till you get to personal options. Press the joy stick down till you reach AUTO LOCK, than turn it to off.Push setting button to clear screen.

Thats what I did and the car never locks by itself. But just in case I carry a spare in my wallet.

 

I am still struggling to get the doors to lock when I put the car into drive and unlock when you turn the key off. I actually have posted this as a separate thread to see if anyone can help me out.

 

I am sorry that I can't help you with that problem. Go to your dealer or call the Nissan hot line and talk to a tech.

 

I don't see that setting either i do see Auto relock timer but nothing that locks the doors when i start the car or go in drive maybe that's not an option in my car

 

the auto relock timer is when you unlock the car but do not actually enter the car in x seconds.

 

ramberg, i ran outside to look at this, do you have the navi or non navi? i have the navi and do not see an option for that. all there is is the auto relock timer.

 

just another thought, i have a 6 speed. ramberg has an auto [ i think] maybe its a feature for auto max's only?

 

I do not have a Navi.

 

That could be the reason but I would still check with dealer.
