going to do it myself Thanks to MAXIMA.ORG. Did the pads last year but rotors are rusted out. Have New akam pads and Bremo rotors from tirerack.com I have all the info from here but is there any TIPS I may need or a tool that may help. Thank you.

 

its a pretty easy job especially if you already did the pads once. after you get the caliper off, squeeze the piston all the way down and put on the new pads. the rotors just slide off and the new ones slide on. just make sure you have some brake fluid in case the level is low.

 

If you follow the motorcav.ca website tutorial, you should be ok. Just a point from that site:
-Use some isopropynl alcohol on the rotor to remove that thin layer...
if you don't, you'll get some pretty disgusting smell after a few mins of driving. freaked me out when that happeneed to me.

Besides the easy stuff: make sure to clean the rotor, bleed the brakes, bed in the pads.

 

Not a hard install at all. I just put new rotors and pads on last night. Took about 3 hours, mainly because I painted my calipers red. The only tip that I can offer is that there is a bolt that you screw into the rotor to get the rotor off. It made it a heck of a lot easier.
Can't remember the thread but I found it in a Haynes manual.

or if you arent cutting the rotors just bang them from the back, they will pop off.

 

Yeah, Mine were rusted on pretty bad. The were the original rotors.

 

Clean the new rotors with Brake Clean to remove the rust inhibitor.
