Have I done my homework?

I'm getting ready to (FINALLY!) buy my suspension. Here's my checklist:
  • Tokico Illuminas
  • Progress Sport Springs
Parts off of Courtesy Nissan:
  • 2 - [FRONT] Strut Bearing
    54325-A3201
  • 2 - [FRONT] Dust Boot/Bump Stop Assembly
    54050-A3202
  • 4 - [FRONT] Lower Spring Sleeve
    54034-85E10
  • 2 - [REAR] Lower Spring Sleeve
    55031-33P10
I'm not buying rear dust boots because my current ones are undamaged.

Buying a spring compressor and a torque wrench, and getting an alignment after the install.

Have I forgotten anything? Ordering this WEEK! I'm pumped!

You don't have to buy a spring compressor or a torque wrench if you don't want to; Auto Zone can rent those to you for a refundable deposit. Also, Advance Auto Parts makes the cheapest bellows (dust boot/bump stop) I've priced if you didn't mind a "universal" part. Seems like you've got everything else ordered, good luck!

Thanks for the info on the bellows! I've heard I need to cut the bumpstops in the front by one "****" piece. Is this true?

Strut bearings are important. It's recommended that you replace both front ones when you change struts.

Not necessarily. I've worked on cars with 100K+ miles and the strut bearings were in perfect condition. IMHO it's one of those things that are either good or bad, not in between.

No harm in changing them anyway, they're only $15 each.

check your strut mounts when you get them out. and make sure when you install them they are pointing the right way.

hope you got the tools you need, good luck, it's not that bad of a job.
