I've got a nice floor jack and jack stands, but I can't figure out how to use them on my 95 Maxima and Nissan's #$#@$@#% jack point system. The jackpoints want to bend using my floor jack, and even if they didn't, my jack stands can't get close enough to get under the jack point while the floor jack is holding it up. I'm assuming there's other jack points than those ferschluggin' body metal crimp points. Can anyone help? I checked the other posts and FAQ and didn't see this discussed.

 

there is one center "bump" in the front of the car, right under the main structural beam. you can use a hydralic jack here..

as for the sides, i just use the stock hand jack, to prop up the car, then place a jackstand, NOT on that thin metal sides, but instead just under the car, right next to that edge.. just make sure the contact points on the jack stands are flush.

then i goto the other side and jack that side if i need to..

yeah the maxima's jack points are stupid.. but really, u just need a strong point to lift up the car...
