you do realize that the temp rating is NOT the brightness...... but instead the color of the light output
silly
maybe THIS will help you?
from wiki:
The color temperature of a light source is determined by comparing its chromaticity with a theoretical, heated black-body radiator. The Kelvin temperature at which the heated black-body radiator matches the color of the light source is that source's color temperature; for a black body source, it is directly related to Planck's law.

yea ok.
first off, im not a noob. ive been one the org for a while and owned a few maximas. just a new profile since the old one got deleted. when i ordered the bulbs and ballast, i asked what is the kelvin. the guy told me the bulbs are out of the "K's". that is what "I" was told. so therefore no one is owned!
bulbs come as listed by the company: 1k-12k then extreme blue, extreme red, extreme green, and extreme violet. the extreme blues are what i have.
and yes i realize that the temp rating is not the brightness. i apologize for what i typed earlier.
