So today i was driving around like normal and stopped at a light.I sunk the clutch and it stayed all the way to the floor and wouldnt come back up on its own.I managed to change in first pulled over to see what was wrong.Well the clutch was still to the floor and ws just going down and up freely and i still cant seem to find out wht happened.

Any help would be appreciated, thanx.

 

Have you checked to see if you have any fluid left? Possibly a leak in the lines and air has been sucked in.

 

Well yeah, surprisingly, the fluid container was kinda empty and so i think it sucked in air and made a bubble somehow.I however bled the line and filled up the container with fluid and the clutch is "kinda" back, the bad thing now is that clutch hose down there, i think its kinda leaking, what next........

 

Best bet is get a new slave cylinder and steel braided lower line, thats what I did and will ensure everything is good.

 

Where did you get that and did you do the change yourself or did the stealership do it?Give me some info like where i can find them and what i should be looking for exactly.........whats the price range like?

 

The clutch lines can be found here (GD section) The Slave you can get from the dealership for 60-70, or try Advance of AutoZone. I think I got mine from the dealership. The 4th gen slave is known to go out often.

 

Uh oh. I have 202k miles and slave's doing well. However I can't say the same for the stupid rubber hydrolic line... This's the 2nd time I've replaced it. However, maybe it's my heavy ACT clutch that's to blame.

Check: the clutch slave, clutch master, and line/resevoir, I'm not 100% on the clutch master, but if my old 84 S10 had one, I'm sure Nissan had one too,

 

man,right now i really dont know what the heck to buy............i am seeing two or three hoses here that does different things can someone look at this link with the different clutch hoses and tell me which i would need.The one in which seems to be leaking slowly but surely in my car is the one right next the to the little valve where you can use to bleed the clutch of its fluid.

Unfortunately, that's the lower, more expensive hose.
Save yourself $ and get this one: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=529112
It replaces the upper and lower hoses, and I've yet to hear of a case in this forum where a SS line has failed.

most likely the slave rubber hose leaking. it was for me.

 

tHANX aLOT, WILL HAVE TO LOOK INTO IT AND SEE WHAT EXACTLY MY BABY MAX NEEDS.

 

aCTUALLY,ITS RIGHT NEAR TO THE END OF THE HOSE THAT CONNECTS NEXT TO THE VAVLE,RIGHT AT THE END THERE IS A SMALL PINHOLE LEAK,IT CAN DRIVE FOR A WHILE, BT I WILL BE HAVING TO REMEMBER TO WATCH THE FLUID TO SEE HOW FAST IT LEAKS.

 

Any help will be appreciated people.

Really? Thats interesting. When I first got my Max (about a month ago) this exact same thing happened to me. The dealer took care of it since I had just gotten the car the same day. Thing is, they replaced the master cylinder 1st and claimed the slave was fine. Got the car back and drove for a day and it happened again. Slave blew out. They still took care of it for me, but it was quite inconvenient. Glad it happened right away, I guess.

 

yeah,well my res was empty and needed fluid, so it sucked air and killed the clutch, bleed the line and its back.I now finding out my clutch hose is leaking, so im trying to find one.Anyone out there have one to spare me.?

I seen and went to that link already, but no one can confirm to me whether it is the right part or not, and i dont wanna buy something that ends up not working for me(incorrect hose/part).does it look anyhting like this:

 

Your picture shows the lower clutch hose. I'm guessing it costs about $30 + shipping? Make sure the description says "lower" clutch hose.

The hose in the other thread replaces the part you have pictured, plus the "upper" hose. It's a great upgrade because it does away with the rubber line and instead uses Stainless Steel hose that's less likely to leak. Plus, it costs less than a single Lower hose.

As for purchasing the wrong part that does not fix your problem... Your best bet is to remove your slave cylinder and hoses and inspect them. Then make your purchase. Worse case scenarios:
1) it's the hose, which will cost $25
2) it's the slave cyl, which will cost $6-10 for simple rebuild "kit" that takes 5min to rebuild and no special tools

If either of those cost too much, I can arrange for a payment plan.
