today i was trying to replace my driver side axle. I cant pull it out from tranny, i used prybar, hummer and some other tools and it did not help. axle didnt move. nothing. i spent 3 hours for nothing.

any ideas what to do with it? there is only one thing which i have in my mind - take it to the mechanic shop

The only thing I can tell you is Pry is out. Leverage is Key.

You have the axle out of the Wheel hub correct ??

correct. i dont know whats wrong with it, because axle sometimes jumps out from tranny little bit and makes leakage of tranny fluid

the reason it poping out of the trans is because the oring on the shaft is bad...

I had this issue when i changed my tranny. we just wound up dropping the transmission with the axle still stuck in it lol. We pryed it out later. It took some force, but it does pry out. you might try turning the axle and trying at several angles. You want the open end of that little lock ring pointing down, it helps.

take the cv shaft and pushin and with the pry bar and your hand pull out at the same time they key is pushing in so it cant get off that ridge inside.

I don't know if it makes a difference but if you car is 5 speed, and if it's not in neutral, try doing that. My friend who is a mechanic told me it fixes the problem sometimes. But again, someone on here said it doesn't make difference.

I understand your pain, I had the same issue. I went to advanced auto and got the biggest prybar that I could fit under the car ( I bought a whole set increased length = increased torque). I ended up using my legs and luckily my car was parked on the street so I used the curb for extra leverage. It almost came to the point where my car almost fell off the jack stands before it finally popped out.

To remove the drivers side halfshaft on an automatic trans. , I beleive you need to pull the right side halfshaft first.

I believe that one side requires a slide hammer and the other requires unbolting.

I've replace both sides. I don't remember which side is which. One time when I was pulling the sides with bolts on it, I used the slide hammer and it ripped the cv joint in half. I thought "oh crap" before I saw the bolts I had to unbolt.

Good luck. or pay a mechanic.
