Tokico Illumina Rear Bushings

I just recieved my Tokico Illuminas and the rear came with new bushings. However, There was a sheet in the box that said for 95-99 maxima to NOT use the included bushings. It said re-use factory bushings. I want to change my 10 year old bushings when dropping the car. So do I have to buy OEM bushings now? What's the reason behind this, bushing is too hard for our car? Anyone used the tokico bushings before?

Thanks

If the label said to not use, please dont use it. Replace the old bushing by Nissan, OEM or perhaps you may want to check with Energy Suspension to see if they have replacement bushing for your specific application, ES make high performance bushing wich I think are far superior to Nissan or OEM.

Where did it say this? I just installed my illuminas and used the included bushings. No problems at all.

I always use the new bushings. I dont see why you shouldnt. I dont think they mean bushings anyhow, they mean the metal parts and such.

I know it's an old post, but it's confusing.

The Tokico note refers to the bump stop and spring insulator that hold the spring of the rear shock in place on the shock. It does not refer to the bushings included with the rear shock, which are Japanese, so I hope they're good.

If you're going to write it, why not be clear?

I would take hardware to mean nut and bolts.
