20" wheels....offset questions

I have an 05' SL, with a set of 20 x 8.5 wheels on the way w/ Nitto 555 245/35/20.

Will be dropping the car w/ a set of Eibach springs.

Are these wheels going to bolt right on w/ no problems or do I have to do something about the wheel offset? I'm a newbie w/ this stuff so please be patient

If the bolt pattern is correct, they will bolt right on 5x114.3 Also what is the offset of the wheels this will make or break your setup...I am running your same setup with 38mm offset and it tucks nicely...

Yep exactly...isn' that how everyone does it?

What the point of your post? How's it supposed to be helpful?

I bought the wheels from an online vendor, told them exactly what kind of car I have what model what year, they matched up the wheel and said they're fine. I'm reading on these boards about people running different offsets and that where my question stems.

Please if you don't have anything helpful to add.....why post??

It all depend on the wheel offset, there is some member that are running 265 in the back without rubbing but they are not running on 20's.

35-38 mm sound like the offset you may want, so 20" x 10" with a drop, it's going to be a close call, the rear fender can be roll to add little more space to tuk in the tire.

KCmaxx was probably just wondering why you didn't do ALL of your research before purchasing your wheels. If you weren't sure about the offset you should've posted what rims + tires you were going to get, ask and confirm here THEN made the purchase. Just my 2 cents, but I'm sure you'll be just fine. Good luck bro.

Talk about worthless posts...

If you bought them to fit the max why are you here asking if they'll fit?

Whats the backspace? Whats the hub size?

If you have wheel fitment questions check the STICKIES... That's what they're there for.

He pointed you to the stickies, which you should have read. Those would be real helpful.
