Those w/ shorth throw shifters
I have my SMC on order and will hopefully arrive soon. I have two questions.
1) How do most people have the shifter adjusted for throw on the SMC shifter?
2) Is there a better option out there for the shifter boot, or do most people just use the original leather one. If so does it look weird with the shorter shifter?
3) Shifter ****....keep it or throw it away? I would like to salvage the **** ....but if it is stubborn I am going to need a new ****....any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Removing the **** is easy...
I just did it yesterday to put on the AE ****. I took an "adjustable pliers/channel lock" (for removing pipe stuff, not monkey wrench) wrapped a rag around the original **** (twice for overlap) and then put the pliers on.
I squeezed hard, but not to hard, and with a quick motion to the (right/counterclockwise?) broke the seal and was able to hand unscrew it the rest of the way. Dont squeeze to hard or you will leave the jaw imprint on your shifter

1. I'm going 2 set it @ just below the shortest throw level
2. I bought a new MOMO boot but it's the same size
3. I bought a new MOMO ****
