Left side of hood shakes up and down

The left side of my hood shakes up and down slightly when driving..over bumps.. or just in the wind of driving.. That rubber stop does not seem to be pushing on it enough.

Is there an easy thing to tighten? I only notice it on the left so not sure if that knocks out the hood latch as being the culprit.. Nothing seems loose with the hinge on that side.

Have you tried adjusting the bumper?

From what I see.. its just a rubber gizmo.stuck in a hole in the sheet metal below.. I see nothing to "adjust".. It is sitting straight up.. What do you suggest ?

the rubber bumpers get squashed after a while. you can adjust them by twisting them with your hand or just do what i did and go to the dealer and get 2 new ones. they just twist right on the inner fender.

twist it counter-clockwise to raise the rubber peg a bit ... that should help with the "flopping" ... it may take a couple of times to adjust it to make it just right ... so be patient and make small adjustments.

I'll give it a whirl and report back.. I was figuring they were just too short or dry rotting.. perhaps I can stiffen them up by putting something in the holes ..
