Impact gun slips on loosening wheel lug bolt

Just purchased a good cordless impact gun from Canadian (Crappy) Tire for half price, reg $250.

Got a deep impact 21mm socket for a 98 maxima GXE 15" wheel and what I get is slippage at the gun end.

This gun is powerful, so what I am doing wrong?

Please don't take my for an idiot.

Unbolting and it is slipping while using a "counter-closckwise" direction.

Smartass.

Just a joke. Lighten up.

Possible the stud is stripped and not allowing the bolt to be removed

most lugnuts use an outside measurement in SAE, not metric....21mm may be a little bit big.

just do it by hand the first time, maybe some threads have rusted and the bolt is stuck. when was the last time the wheels were taken off ?

Word. It's like swinging a sledge hammer in the air to gain momentum then finally slamming it down on concrete. It's weird, it's not fast, but still powerful.

I prefer the corded model from Crappy Tire. No need to recharge batteries
