Some 2.5", some 2.25" exhaust pcs...problem?

Hey, guys!
I checked the stickies and didnt see this specific question discussed anywhere.
Ok. I just bought a used Cattman y-pipe and Magnaflow, high flow cat. Everything else in the exhauset setup is stock (for now). My question is this:
My after market parts are 2.5" where the stock is all 2.25". How does this affect the install? Do the flanges still just match up? Will there be leaking issues? I saw in the stickies of peeps just using a -pipe and all that but in my mind, it just doesnt make sense. Could somebody briefly explain this to me?

Ok USA. Thanks, for the quick response! It just seems weird. In my mind, I picture a slight over hang or things not matching up just right.

Well, thats cool then. In your opinions, I should be straight with just a Y and a Cat for now, right? I mean, my b pipe looks ok, minus one hanger thats effed up but Im replacing that and my muffler just has the usual pealing of the outer layer. No leaks, though. I dont need to get a whole catback to notice the benefits of the y-pipe...right?
Imma have a lil "car" day next wekend. All easy stuff but it'll be fun. have some beers with my one pal and do:
Knocksensor
Oil pressure sending unit
Y pipe, cat, hanger
manual gear oil change
cant wait!

True. Believe me, Im trolling the classifieds like a nut just waiting for somebody to post up a cat back that I can ****** up. I cant justify $500 for a brand new SP 2 just yet. I saw some Megans on Ebay for around $300...I dunno...I just dont trust it. Megan? It looks pretty cool but any mufflers or cat back setups that come with a silencer, just worry me. Prolly too ricey for my taste.

you could get the universal tsudo exhaust which is the same setup as the greddy and only 90 and then get a bpipe from budget for liek another 220 so for about 310 you can get a good catback and not pay that much

I have a Megan catback. I have to say fitment is excellent, sound is killer, but the tip is HUGE!

Hmmm...thats not a bad idea. I dont really have any rust or anything to justify a new bpipe just yet. Aside from one busted hanger. Most HP gains come from the y-pipe...right?

I guess sound is a plus and def makes it more fun to drive. I had a nice Borla setup on my old Jetta and it sounded so cool...not gonna lie, the sound makes shifting and driving in general more fun. lol. That tip, though!!! LMAO!! Soup can!!!
