What are the odds???

Here's what I was told by www.edgeracing.com on the phone today, TWICE!! as I couldn't believe it the first time and still don't believe it the second.

I called the first time to see the status on my order I placed on Friday for 2 Nexen N7000 tires in a 235/40/18 size. The guy on the phone said that they just arrived today and were shipping out today and will be there Monday. I really need them, like yesterday, so I said "F*CK" and hungup.

Then I thought to myself, I remember it saying those were in stock when I ordered them, so I check the website just to make sure I would have noticed that they would have said "out of stock" and it's pretty clear that I would have noticed.

So I called back and got another guy who again asked for my name and what I ordered. He then looked me up and my order and asked if I lived on "Atlantic Avenue". I said no and he said well that's where they were shipped and they were denied by the home owner. So he said hold on, put me on hold, and was gonna look into it further. 10 seconds later I hear click and the busy tone. So I called back and waited another 10 minutes on hold for someone to answer and got the first guy I talked to.

Told him what the last guy said and that they were sent to the wrong address and denied. He then goes on to tell me that that wasn't the case and that another guy with the: SAME NAME ordered the SAME TIRE, the SAME AMOUNT (2), the SAME SIZE, and on the SAME DAY. I laughed and said you gotta be kidding me. He goes to tell me that I'm not the only person with that name. So not to get angry, I said "OKKKK" and hung up.

My girlfriend has my cell phone and calls me to say that this guy just called and left you a voicemail but I can't really understand what he was saying and he didn't leave an extension #. I check my voicemail and it's the second guy who I talked to that said the tires were sent to the wrong location but I couldn't understand what name he said. I called back and pressed the button for the technical department so I wouldn't get guy #1 again. I asked for what I thought guy #2 had said on the voicemail but instead he said Im not sure who your talking about but how can I help you. I told him my predicament and what both guy #1 and guy #2 said and looks up my order and name and again tells me what guy #1 said. That someone with the same name, tire, quantity and size ordered on the same day as me.

Morale of the story..... I was either BS'd by 3 guys sitting in the same office OR I should go play the lottery today cause there isn't a chance in 10 million this would happen.

Good prices but BAD customer service!!

Sorry for the novel.

Nothing wrong with a lil venting if it keeps you from going postal. What was the outcome?

Wierd....I've dealt with them on about 5 occasions.

I'm not sure why they were shipping from their home office though. Every time I get tires from them they are drop-shipped from various independent dealers in my area. In fact, the three sets of tires I've gotten from them have all arrived within 2 days of the order (even before I get the tracking number sometimes).

Also ahve gotten 2 sets of wheels from them, both of which arrived quickly. Once was missing the centercaps, so they overnighted a new set of caps to me no charge.

Sounds like the snafu with you was an anomoly, because these guys have tons of positive feedback in the feedback forum here

I think God is trying to tell you that you shouldn't get Nexen tires

I have some, and I love them. They stick really well on dry pavement and wet pavement, but they are pretty noisy.

Edgeracing is based out of weston and wheelmax out of miami, alot of local guys including myself have used them cuz of their prices on local pick up and like irish44j said they prob use local distributor in your area. Call them and tell them about how you've posted here and how people are thinking twice about buying from them, they're not big shops so buisness loss will prob get them to react.
