Help drivers side light doesnt work

so.. i was installing my cold air intake and somewhere on the way i unplugged something that has to do with my drivers side headlight. it worked fine before and now high nor low beam headlight works and i found a plug that looks like a plastic spark plug end that was disconnected and i believe that has something to do with it. I thought that it may had to be grounded so i tried different places in the engine and one place i had it and it worked and then i could not find that spot again does anyone know what im talking about if you need a picture of the plastic piece i will try to get one.. thanks
