Only ONE person that I know of has them. There are some pictures in this thread, but PM him for more on his car. For me it was either those rims or the ones that are in my sig, and I picked the ones that are in my sig

I think you should get the Nismo 19's if you still want to run good times at the track

You shouldn't be running 19's if you want good slips.

I don't see why not, if you get the right sized tire to match the overall diameter of the stock set-up...but that would=thinner tire which would=bad traction, so yes I do agree with you.

The 19" NISMOS are lighter than most 18" rims and as far as I know lower profile tires equal better traction.. ...am I confused?

BTW ALTI SE-R rims are very light at 16.5 LBs I believe.

Wow on the Altima rims!

Maybe someone can elaborate on the sidewall/traction thing

Well, I would think a smaller sidewall would = less "flex" in the tire as it digs in for traction.

I think you are referring more to handling here. If you really think about it then IMO a thinner sidewall will result in less traction because there is no "flex" and a thicker sidewall will result in better traction because it has a little flex to prevent will slippage...someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but that's just what I think.

You are correct, just look at dragster slicks. HUGE sidewalls, anyways for the street 18's are more than enough. 19's are to much if you ask me when you take into account drivability, pot holes, and the fact that no matter what we don't ever approach the limits of the car. At least not usually :-)

For the sake of this thread 18" rims with 45 profile tire and 19" rims with 40 profile tire is not big a difference at all. Its not like we are going from 60 profile to 35.

The SER rims look good on the 5.5 gen but I never seen them on a 6th gen. Lots of people selling them in the classified section though.
