A couple of questions I'm hoping you guys can help me out on a few things.

My car is a '97 with 168K miles.

The driver side window has started making a very slight noise when going up and down. The passenger side window slows down when going up 3/4 of the way up, it does not however make any weird noise.

My locks also don't unlock with the remote in the winter.

My steering rack & pinion was leaking previously in the winter it is not leaking anymore but I still feel as if I should replace it.

What do you guys suggest I do?

the seals in the rack will probably not leak in hot weather (but in cold, they shrink up and that allows fluid to leak out) so ... I would try to get it fixed before the winter. Kevlo did a write up on How To ... if ya search, wasn't too long ago either.

as for the windows ... I'd guess they need to be re-greased. pull the door pannel and remove the plastic liner. apply axle grease to the slide arms. could be the motor is weakening too ... but I would guess it's more a binding issue.

the locks ... work in hot weather? oddddddd ... ????

cheers, hope some of this helps!

I stated that wrong, they work in the winter and summer but in the winter they partially unlock so I have to hit the unlock button again. They don't open and close all the way, they stick.

I would not apply axle greese. Use a dry lubricant. Something teflon based is best.

I think the battery in your transmitter may be going. Cold weather is harsh on those smaller batteries.
