Inexpensive Parts**Problem

Ok well i've been looking around on the web, ebay, etc. and have come to the conclusion of some parts i'd be able to buy under $120..now I'm not 100% guaranteed on Ebay products but i trust their positive feedback being above 95% indictates they're honest/mean what they sell, etc etc.

Point is, I've looked at 3 things i'd like to buy and wanted 2 know if you all would recommend otherwise.

Well part #1: Cold Air Intake
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Nissa...QQcmdZViewItem
listed for $39.99 and $20 shipping

Part #2: Performance Module
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Nissa...QQcmdZViewItem
$28.99 and $6 shipping

Part #3: Clear Corners
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/89-94...QQcmdZViewItem
$11.95 and $14.95 shipping (seems far fetched)

Anyways that should save me some gas/boost hp i assume, unless you all have any other options? I'm on a tight budget and figured i'd start playing with her while i got the cash laying around.

See recent post for a new problem that has arose that needs to be fixed asap.

Just save your money until you can actually afford some decent parts.

#2 is garbage,it is a coolant temp sensor bypass module,it will trick ecu to think it is in open loop(cold) all the time. This is only good for wasting gas, nothing more..

If you want more power from your engine, look into the warpspeed y-pipe/unorthadox underdrive pulley/fidanza lightweight flywheel(only if you have a manual trans)/etc.

If you really want some clear corners, watch the listings for a week or so, you should be able to get them for $30 shipped and insurred.

Probably the best bang for your buck is making sure the stock parts are working to their fullest potential? I've changed a fuel filter before and it felt like a completely different car.

Go through and make sure all your filters are clean, vacuum lines are sealed, replace your plugs if it's been a while, just make sure you're running right to begin with before you start popping goodies on. Sometimes it can make a big difference.

Umm, no? Pretty sure that's $12 + $16 and insurance would be another $3, ie. one dollar over $30, not two under.

you could effectively do the same thing for free by unplugging your 02 sensor..

i'd rather have a light pressure turbo and a functioning 02 sensor, personally... or whatever other bolt-ons would give you the equivalent extra power of unplugging your 02 sensor, if any real increase in power is given.

Before you order the CaI, do you have a 92-94 SE?

like everyone else said...go with #1 and #3

cold air intake will give you low end power (i only have a hai, but soon going cai)
and clear corners look a lot better than stock in my opinion

good luck

Now i have a problem...
how much exactly would a throttle cable(or body, i'm not sure) cost to get repaired? because on my way home today, i stopped to wait for my friend's mom to come pick him up, she comes i get back in my car(i turned it off) and the gas pedal is not active anymore. The car is a 1993 Nissan Maxima SE, autotragic and is driven hard(i'll relax for sure when i get it fixed) but the throttle still works under the hood and the gas pedal is as useless as me not even putting my foot on the pedal. Mom got the car towed home (it just happened 3 hours ago) and now it's sitting in the driveway broken

BG info on the driver(me)
Im a speed demon 50% of the time i drive, i usually don't take it above what the traffic does unless im in a serious rush and my foot is only all the way on the floor if im racing or trying to get around someone impeding traffic

dude...have you checked the classifieds? There's tons of performance stuff for sale on there for amazing prices.... You'll be able to get a throttle cable off a junk car or maybe someone here with a parts car will give you one. It sounds like your's snapped somehow...though I've never heard of that before. I'd say you can get one for like $20 for someone to just pull one off. You could put in back in yourself probably...labor is just too expensive. Figure if it takes an hour, it's gonna cost $70 on average from a shop.
