Have you ever noticed.....

I noticed when I close my driver's door, the courtesy lights fade out. I think it is called theatre lighting by GM. But, if you close any other door, the lights just turn off like normal. Maybe it's just mine.

it's a handy 'feature' to have when you jump in the car in the rain and haven't even gotten your keys out yet.. then you have to find the key and the key cylinder. grrrr

I remember on my 88 maxima, Im not sure if this was because of the keyless keypad entry and locking system, but if I pulled the drivers side door handle when it was locked the key hole to the doors had a green ring that would light up and the interior dome light would come on. Great for really dark places and checking the inside before entering the car. I thought that was the coolest thing. I miss my 2nd gen....

3rd gens do that too if it's still working. My GXE never did, but the SE does (Drivers Side Only)

Yeah, it was just the drivers side. I was amazed at the technology and even just the thought process Nissan went into things like that even back then.

My 93's key ring in the door never lit up and the interior lights never came on if you pulled the door handle with the door locked. I do know that a lot of Fords have this feature, not all but a lot.

The 300ZX also did that. Nissan had so much cool sh*t back in the 80's. Did your 2nd gen have the computer that talked to you?

well what iwas originally talking about was how the lights fade out on the driver's door but not the others. I used to have a 280Z that talked.
