My last question for the Z32 BBK
My last question for the Z32 BBK
Well i have gathered all my parts, here is the list, do you guys notice anything or see anything missing?
1. 92 Z32TT alumium 30mm calipers, cleaned/painted/cleared/rebuilt/loaded
2. 92 Z32TT Brembo cross drilled/slotted rotors also cleaned/painted/cleared Milled 3mm off O.D
3. PDM racing 240sx to Z32 stainless steel conversion lines
4. 10mm spacers and nismo 60mm extended studs (60x14.3)
5. Ford racing DOT4 brake fluid
Now for the steps i think ive basically got it down to 5 not including removing my stock caliper/rotor
1. Remove the dust sheild..ive been told its pressed in so you can knock it out.
2. Install Z32TT caliper and rotor, i need to use some washers on the torque arm bolts because i am using the A32 hardware.
3. Hook up the conversion lines
4. put everything back together, bleed brakes and what not.
now the only things i am not sure are the dust sheild..i think i can knock it off, if not ill just cut that SOB off, and the control arm, i think i might be okay for clearence on that, but i may grind a bit just to be on the safe side if its close.
Ill let you guys know how the install goes and how the pedal feel, and etc is. Alot of people dont do the full Z32 swap obviously because there are better alternatives to the Z32 rotor, but for a budget oreintated swap, and the 13" cobra rotors i dont think will clear my 17s it was the best way to go.
Thanks
Chris

painted rotors?? what about your brackets and centering rings? how do u know u need 10mm spacers? also whats with the stud sizing, you need 12x1.25. yes you can knock the dust shield out but rotate it first to get it loose. i suggest you buy 4 new OEM caliper bolts from nissan to mount them throught the brackets. not sure what u are talking about with the A32 hardware. you need brackets at the minimum
Thanks for the reply. But i am using the Z32 rotor, so i dont need brackets or centering rings, just need to mill the rotor 4mm.
Yes i painted the rotor, the hat of the rotor the part of the rotor were the pad does not contact it.
I test fitted the rotor and caliper, basically everything setup, but i couldnt mount my wheel as i need a minimum of 5mm spacer. I also measured 5.25" from the center of my wheel then measured the distance from the rotor to my spoke and it was 2.25" where i need a minimum of 2.5". But also my caliper has been shaved so i am not out 1/4" maybe an 1/8th inch.
Yeah i think i will just use the Z32 caliper bolts, for the test fitting though i thought my stock hardware would be fine, but its a bit long. Either ill get the Z32 bolts caliper to torque arm bolts or just get some thick washer.

said who? as far as i know, 300zx rotor is bigger than maxima so you will need matt's relocation brackets.
maxima bolts are same as 300zx bolts but shorter. 300zx bolts wont fit because they will hit the rotor. use maxima bolts along with a few washers.

The 300ZX rotors are the same diameter as the a32 maxima rotor, but a fair amount thicker. and you actually have th machine the 3-4mm off the rotor to get it to work with the z32 caliper. I will probably upgrade to cobra 13" rotors but as of now i just need to do my brakes..my stock rotors are fried..i have burn marks on them and 1 of my calipers are seized/seizing lol..
