Rear Speakers/Wires
Rear Speakers/Wires
So recently when i installed a pioneer cd player my back speakers decided not to work. I have the active speakers in the front and the previous owner put in sony explods in the back. I tested the wires for continuity which they have, and the speakers are good, so whats wrong? wrong Ohms? a short in the wires? How can i fix or do anything about this? Thanks. And just a thought, could i throw in used 3rd gen bose speakers in the back would they work?
Hey I got a ton of speakers to choose from for sale. They're not new but in good condition, I got Pioneer, Kenwood, 1 or 2 JBLs if you need any let me know.
I know you say speakers are good but just in case they turn out to be the problem

well you could use bose but you would have to run pre amps to them and power wires and a turn on lead then wire that into the amps for each speaker or you could do that then just put a amp to run the deck speakers and drop a sub in other then that check your wiring in the dash and be sure to bypass any amps and that are used with the factory system or just run new wires from the back of the deck to the speakers (the simplest)

I suggest you rewire the rear speakers with fresh new wire from the HU/to the rear speakers, just to be sure to eliminate the wiring as the culprit..
I also suggest you get together with ColombianMax,he has quite a bit of knowledge of these cars,so he can help you much more in person then we could over the internet..

This pic was taken nearly 2 years ago. No pun intended Alex

As for Bluetoof, thats what they call me on Chicago Maxima Club cuz they usually see me with it on, here's a pic that my g.f took of me like 2 years ago with me fallin asleep with it on. Oh and this was before I got Lasek so I still had glasses on.

But on a serious note, I have rewired my speakers even though my max was not bose equipped. So dude if you need help let me know.
