Kevin,
You had me worried for almost a second. I wondered what was up? Is your car "limping"?

Punk!

Who do we report the moderator to?

Anyways, I've noticed that you don't go on much anymore either. Is the midget keeping you that busy.

Hehehehe

I've just been a bit tied up last week, but everything should be back to normal soon. GT3 has also been keeping me busy (and away from here)... my completion status is a little over 40%.

My car is fine, minus the service engine light and 3 codes. Thanks for the concern guys..... I bet you were all laughing at me when you read the subject line, huh?

GT3 rules! I have been playing often myself. Whats your car of choice and how long did it take you to pass the 'S' lic? Do you use automagic or Manual? Just curious to how others play the game. Believe it or not my favorite track is Cote D'Azure (Monacco F1 race)! Love them twisties. Plus two player mode is great.

My car is the Susuki Escudo. I HATE the handling because it turns like crap... even worse than the Max's turning radius. The only exam I didn't finish is the last one for the S license........ that one is HARD (Cote D'Azure)!!!!!!

Auto or manual?!?!?! Need you ask.

Hi Mike! So that was you! Hahahahaha! I made the turn at the light and noticed blue bulbs, then I looked closer and saw that it was a Maxima with clear markers. I even saw you pointing at me.

Attend the next NorCal meet and check out my car. Have you done anything new to yours?

I did it last night for my buddy. Trust me use the manual and upshift really early to keep the tires from breaking loose. Use the 2 gear for entering the really tight stuff's corners (you know) and then quick to 3 so you don't spin. Did you win the Escudo or buy? Isn't it 2 big beans?

I'd figure the stick was easier to use for all those turns and stuff, but automagics rule. Thanks for the tip.

Escudo is only 1 big bean, but you can also win one from completing the rally circuit. Now I have 2!

my favorite cars are the f1 cars, they handle beautifully and they accelerate nicely, though their top speed isn't as high. i have yet to get an escudo but i'm saving up my money to get one, i want one so i can use it in the rally races.

damn, the s liscense is so damn hard. lol. i haven't tried them all yet but i need to finish them off as i'm running out of races to do.

The turning radius for the Escudo sucks... you'll have to do a lot of suspension tweaking for it to be somewhat driveable.

get the suspension mod and change the rear stabilizer to the hardest point and the front to the weakest... your rear end will spin out more.. gotta love the oversteer.

hm... how about, lower the front and keep the back the same, and try to put 0.0 for front camber and for the back put positive numbers so your back end slides out?

I had to adjust the downforce to make it somewhat driveable. Oh well, I'm not going to use this car for long.

Rally is easy, beginer, and amatuer league were easy, Professional league got a big nutty but the Mazda 787B is a tool of speed if tuned properly will destroy most of the races til you get to fly like a bird(Test Track highspeed 20 laps.) Ruf CTR w/ draft @ 430+ kph...Watch out for the Viper on that one, he does 400kph w/o draft.
S License GT One on Cote d azule, running start....4th @ green, line up against left wall, and see apex 3rd gear up, 4th gear, down 3rd, sweep left, tap brake, right, down 3rd 4th, hard brake down 2nd, gas and pull thru, gas, peel to hairpin, 2nd hard brake left, spin 3rd right, double apex it, and enter straight 2nd, 3rd, 4th 5th, downhill, chicane, down 2nd, hang it tight, and quick left right, 2nd down stretch, 3rd 4th, down to 3rd, sweep left, double apex hard on 3rd, switch back right, down 2nd, hard right, left in 2nd, then 3rd double apex turn hard brake 2nd, hang towards left wall, apex and run straight towards right wall, straighten, 3rd 4th 5th done 1:33.66

F1 cars are fun
Hehehehe Can you post pictures with that?

Mistakes I made were off the start, around the hairpin turns, chicane, and the last chicane towards the end, if you got the gonads to go all out and run hard, you'll make it.
I wanna get GT3 American version to see if its any different.

I've gotten 1:38 during the first rounds of playing that course (never played it before the S license exam). Now that I've gained some experience through real racing, I think I'll try again. I now know the mistakes I made and I hope I can finish it in time during the next go-around.

Just remember

To sacrifice entrance speed for exit speed. Being the manual driver, I uses the gears to slow me down so I can drive deeper into the corners. My buddy was doing auto and just about ready to chuck the controller. The place to gain time is through the downhill switchbacks and the "notch" turns towards the end. I was running a 25 at the gate just before the switchbacks.

I feel so proud! I did it in just 2 trys, better the yo_its_ok! But I did not get his time. Believe it or not I did it in a 1:34:989. So I took it and ran to the hills.

For sure the 747B is a monster! Level 1 turbo and over 900 HP! 1st gear is absolutely useless! Its great for the 10 - 15 lap races you do in the professional level. When you do grand valley though, 10 lap race, the 747B you race against never pits! We have to pit around 7-8 laps because how hard we are on tires.

Anybody try to use the Tickford special car? I was curious if it was worth the beanage!

The Escudo has about 1800 hp with the Stage 4 turbo. If you race tracks with nice straight aways... that's the car to use.

It's mad crazy on straights, but when you have lots of twisties (i.e. Deep Forest)... good luck.

After 1 lap, they're pretty worn out. 2 laps and they're fried. I think I've hit 260 mph with normal suspension settings.
