Newbie in MN...
Hi Folks!
I'm a new one. I've been reading the forums etc and been putting off registering, but finally decided I need to drop my $0.02 every now and then. I watch with amusement some of the stories unfold...paint chips? Y'all should come up to MN sometime and check out my hood, front bumper, and pitted windshield. And I'm annoying when it comes to avoiding debris.
My max is a 2000 SE Super Black Auto*magic*. At least the unchipped areas are still black, and the auto runs a little better after the tsb.
35K head-pinning, neck-torquing miles and I'm still in one piece. I just started modding too.
Put on the Addco RSB. What a beautiful creation. Got the Courtesy FSTB (yes, they sent me the wrong one too) and Eibach Springs on the floor in my room. Did the OSCAI a few months ago too.
Most everyone that drives a Maxima up here doesn't seem to be interested *at all* in the performance or aspect style of their car...and this is reflected in the relative cluelessness of the service advisors at the dealerships. OH, I've got stories...
My little brother drives a CL-TypeS, and yes, the TypeS is faster than my car any day of the week. But not for long...
which brings me to my big question that I know is on others' minds too...
Getting a supercharger in an auto. I know it's been done, and I want to hear more ideas before I go nuts with torque converters, valvebodies, and y-pipes.
Second, does anyone out there live in MN, or at least in this part of the country?
Third, (I don't feel like starting new threads for all of these...I get beginner's pardon, right?) I'm looking for new tires to wrap around my 17's...Pirelli P7000SS or Kumho? (I drive on snow for 4 months/year and I'm not rich...yet). Thanks fellas, looking forward to getting to know you.
