What do you guys think the most powerful catback is ? I was thinking a courtesy b-pipe with a 2k1 muffler since of the backpressure bla bla bla thing. You guys have any other suggestions ?

This is all out of curiosity. I already have a catback as you can see.

courtesy b-pipe sucks and 2k muffler is all in your mind, it's still not straight through. both are a waste.

Plus you are already illegal because of the Y pipe, so yu might as well go illegal.

Actually

I have both the Courtesy B-pipe and 5th gen muffler on my 97 and I'm happy with it. I installed the Y-pipe a week before the others and I noticed a significant gain from that. Adding the B-pipe and 5th gen muffler was about 60% as significant. I'm not sure if the muffler itself is what makes it so great, but I'm happy with the results. I can chirp going into 3rd gear with my stock 16's now and my driveability has improved. No loss on the low end and I get about 29 MPG on the average with mixed freeway/city and a few quick races per gas tank.

The Courtesy B-pipe was good for consistently lower .15 ets and a gain of 1mph under the same conditions as proved by 15 timeslips. When you can back up your opinion with facts come back and join us.

it sucks compared to a full catback, you have to buy that pesky o2 connector piece that is very restrictive, i'm saying that a full catback, or straight pipes is better.
why replace one restriction with another.

I Dont know about you Guys but...

Have you seen "1/3there2/3togo" (Kirks) Setup ? He's the first guy with the dual exaust deal on his Max that I've seen ! It looks sweet.

I donno if that results in the loss of some power, but damn I'd like to have that setup.
