I FINALLY GOT MY SPINTS ON!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!! just got the car back from the shop and its looking good...I snapped a few photos when I got home, they aren't that clear(since my digi cam sucks), but I'll have better pics tommorow when there is more light! but the wheel gap up front is slowly losing the battle and hopefully the rear will settle in soon too, looks a WHOLE lot better and rides like a charm, but you can definently feel the bumps a little more now, but very stiff and no bounce! also popped on the new FSTB(thanks Silvermax )...now for some new rims(I wish)...

Way to go. I know you like them......I hope you got some struts/ shocks to go with them.....hint hint. but I like the way it looks, so can you feel the difference????? Are you going to NOPI......I should be there with my friends but my sprinted max is staying home, anyway that's good news you got off our floaty suspension.

Yeah man....

so far they look great, its got sort of a "hot rod" stance to it now, but I guess once it settles in the tires will start to tuck(which I know is gonna look SWEEET!! ) and yeah new KYBs went in with them too, thats the main reason I swapped 'em out cause my stock struts were blown to hell! but the difference on the road so far is amazing, my cornering and finally overall control is back and liek you said no more "floaty" suspension AT ALL! as for coming to NOpi, I doubt it kinda far for me and after getting these springs/struts my wallet is officially BARE! if you do go, have a good trip!

Congrats man! It looks bada$$. I'm waiting until I get rich to do the suspension mods....so I can save for the power ones! Speaking of which, guess who's got a red UR UDP with belts on the way? *chi-ching*

I still have the hot rod stance but it's way better than it was when I first got the set installed. It settled but not as much as I would have liked.

question eh?

What exactly are sprints and what effect do they have? I ahve fairly new struts/shocks..have also replaced lower arm bushings... basically a LOT of suspension work

Re: question eh?

the Sprints are 1.8" lowering springs...I didn't expect them to be as stiff as they are, but so far the overall performance of them in corners and overall car control is great, plus I guess it helps that I have new shocks and an FSTB too! as for the look, I love it...the car is significantly lower and the stance up front(w/ my Stillen lip) looks great! now once they "settle", I'm not sure how much things are gonna change, but so far I'm very impressed!

You mean no more Momo Arrows for you?? Sorry to hear that. My wheels are 17x8" they are all balanced and have the correct offset. I had these rims with my ST springs and I had no problems rubbing so you should be fine with your Eibach's. Tires are 215/45/17 fronts are Toyo Proxes FZ4 Z-rated rears are Falken Ziex Z-rated. I was thinking of powdercoating all my wheels white but it wouldn't look good on a Pearl White max. Yours on the other hand.... hehehe

how much is powdercoating? i havent decided whether or not i want to keep the silver finish or powdercoat them white, i've got a black max, it could either be a nice contrast or not look right at all...

I was quoted from a local company that Powdercoating a wheel costs $175 per wheel. I am sponsored by a company called Colorworks and they can powdercoat any wheel using over 250 different colors. They will give me a big discount to powdercoat my wheels. I was just recently sponsored by Speed Design and they told me they also powdercoat wheels as well. I haven't gotten any quotes on actual pricing per wheel but they told me it will be pretty cheap.

You don't have to be sponsored. Talk to the people that work at the powdercoating shop and ask them if they can hook you up with a deal. Getting sponsored isn't really hard either... they probably won't give you anything FREE but they will give you a discount. It was easy for me because I am in a car club and my whole team is sponsored.

wouldnt the company want me to do something if they sponsor me? i didnt think i could call someplace and be like "hey sponsor me, i dont do anything but work on my car". i dunno, discounts are nice, especially with the amount of work i've planned on putting into my car, but i dunno.
thanks

Don't tell them to sponsor you.. then they will say no to you. Just ask them if they can hook you up and also tell them you will spread the word about their company with your friends. Most of the companies that are local for me are not interested in sponsoring anyone but they do offer group deals and discounts. If you attend car shows or have a shop or something then you can ask for a sponsorship.

I just took my rims off today... I am now on stock wheels. I might consider sending my rims out to get powdercoated white very soon. Maybe I should have them powdercoat SkyMax Racing on the center caps? hehehe...

Who said anything about selling the wheels after they get powdercoated?? LOL.. I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Right now I'm trying to find someone to buy my car.. I already found a 300ZX that I am possibly buying. If I end up getting the Z then I will keep my wheels (since they will fit on the Z).. but if nobody buys my max then I will probably sell the wheels. I won't know pricing until after the wheels come back all powdercoated (so I can see the quality of the work).
