Damn driverside window is killin my last bit nerve! I so far tried cleaning it with water, Invisible Glass, sqweegy. I cleaned it all around, even the rubber surrounding it. My max is a 1/2 year young and I don't see why this is happening. It's been sqeeking for about a month now. Has anyone experienced this? If anyone can help, please feel free to suggest anything and everything. I might take it to the dealer but...

If you figure it out please tell me; I'm going crazy too. I suspect it has to do with the tinting.

My rear passenger side does this also. I am going to clean it with Rain X and let you know how it works. I suspect that the window has a lot of sap on it from parking under a tree.

Hey Max Gator,

I looked at your dyno runs, are they all from the same day? If not, was the weather much different for run 11??

Thanks

My 2000 front windows were squeaking like crazy too...

The fix is to pick up a can of automotive silicon spray.
Roll the window all the way down, and spray the silicon into the vertical risers that the glass rides in. Do not spray onto the glass.
Works like a charm...

Yeah, mine did the same thing. You have to do the silicone thing about once every 6months or so...

All runs were done on different days - several months apart. I believe it was somewhat hotter and more humid when run 11 was done and that may have affected the run. However, I believe it is more likely that there was some type of dyno error or other problem with my vehicle because I only lost hp above 5200 rpms.

I will be redynoing soon - hopefully that will solve the problem.

Yep Silicon, sprayed it on a rag then ran it along the rubber trim. No more squeek!

Mine has done it a few times too. The dealer will fix it for you. It can be misaligned a bit so the silicon spray could be curing the squeeking but not the problem. When that spray wears down it will start again.

I had the same problem with my driverside window and left passenger side window. I took my car to the dealer and they put some silicon stuff on it, but it kept on doing it. I took it back again and they put more on, this time it worked. Until it rained, now it only squeeks when it rains, so far. It's really annoying..

Front passenger side window squeaks, and when u close the door with the window slightly open the window will drop lower into the door. And theres also some verticle glue (?) stripe on the glass. Anyone have this problem?

My drivers side windows squeak going up or down and they make a poping sound going over bumps.

The window seals are poorly designed. Even after a couple of hours after washing the car, rolling down my window and then rolling them up again will get the window soaked in water and it dries as ugly water spots making the window look dirty.

No. I don't think is the tint. I don't have tint on my
driver/passenger windows and those are the ones making
the noise you mentioned.

Sup... I have the same issue here, but when I pointed it out to my dealership, they just said its a problem that can't be fixed. If you had this window squeek problem fixed by your dealer, could you lemme know what they did? Thanks man... BTW, nice pic, kinda scary though .

Hello everyone! Long time no write. Is this a wake up call to get this problem fixed? I haven't been on .org for awhile and when I sign on ...BOOM!.. A reminder to get it fixed and now it also makes that popin' noise.
Yo DKNYchinito, your dealer should fix that for your; if not take it to another dealer if you can. peace

You know the same thing happens to me as well. But it didn't start until after my tint was installed. So, I think it has something to do with the tint but yes, it does annoy me as well.

Bro I had the same problem after I removed my window tint. I took it to the dealer and the simple silicon grease took care of it.

Thanks!

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I'll definitely try the silicone.

Re: Thanks!

Does the silicon spray have any effect on the tint? I've heard to stay away from putting any chemicals on the tint.

My windows were screeching before I got tints on. The sound got way worse after I got the tints. Finally took it to the dealer a few days ago and had them look at it. They "lubed the tracks" and its been dead silent since.

Same thing on my I30t

Hey guys, I have the exact same pop/squeeking problem on my 2001 I30t. When I dropped the car off for its 3mo. checkup, I had them look at it. They lubricated it with whatever it was they used--probably the silicon stuff you guys have mentioned. The problem went away for about a month but has come back. I'm going to be dropping it off soon for a 6mo. checkup and I will have to repeat the issue.

It's quite irksome.

Oh, and I don't have tinting on the windows just yet. Working on that.
