What the best way to loosen the coolant drain plugs on each side of the motor? I can barely get my hand in there. Is there a special tool that is used to lossen them because they seem really tight!!!

Those engine block drain plugs are so difficult to reach that most people don't bother with them. You can do a good cooling system flush by repeated fill/run/drain cycles using the radiator drain only. Some people prefer to idle the engine with a garden hose running at "trickle" stuck in the open radiator fill cap, producing a constant overflow.
