I have the Stillen Body-Kit too...has anyone heard of any problems installing the valence in the Stillen Kit?

Answers, answers, answers...
1) It's definitely not Home Depot.
2) I ordered them from my local speed shop.
3) They are manufactured by Street Scene Equipment.
4) Street Scene's website: www.streetsceneeq.com
5) You must cut out the main grille to install it.
6) Valence grille installs in <30 minutes, no cutting.
7) I hand-detail my engine & I bought a two-can detail kit.
8) Main grille is $139.95 & Valence grille is $105.00
9) I installed it by myself.
10) The smoke headlight covers are from Ventshade and cost approximately $55-60, depending on where you buy them.
11) If you decide to chrome it, make sure you prefit it first, cuz it might need some shaping to fit perfect, otherwise the chrome plating might chip off if done afterwards.
Valence grille install:
1)Remove splash guard fasteners beneath front bumper (plastic plugs).
2)Install clips from behind bumper and grille from the front.
3)Replace splash guard fasteners, complete.
Main grille install:
1)Remove multiple fasteners on top & beneath car.
2)Disconnect fogs & side markers. You may have to remove several fasteners from the wheel wells to get @ the lights.
3)Remove front bumper.
4)Remove screws holding grille surround trim in place.
5)Cut grille beams, leaving the holes for the screws to reattach the surrounding trim. I used a hacksaw blade with no handle attached, it's easier to position.
6)Dremel or file the cut locations flush & to remove burrs.
7)I spray-painted the cut locations black, cuz the plastic gets greyish-white when you cut it.
8)Replace the surround trim.
9)Gently bend the grille to fit snug and tight. Only bend the contact points at the edges.
10)It installs with clips, but I used several black zip ties at strategic locations which are hard to see, unless you are less than a foot from the car. I also used a few self-drilling screws to make sure no one can steal it & so it doesn't come loose. The screws drill a hole first, so that the plastic doesn't crack, like with regular screws.
11)Replace the bumper & connect the lights.
12)Replace all of the fasteners that you removed.
13)If you don't have any extra hardware when you think you're finished, you've actually completed it.
14)Have someone take a picture of your face while you're staring at the completed product. Sheer amazement!!! Oh yeah, remember to close your mouth so you don't catch flies.
Peace & enjoy,

That grille is tight. Very classy, custom look. I'm not sure that it would allow much air to pass through it though, looks like the louvers are very closely spaced. Nice pic, that paint is also hot. Peace.
well I just wanted to find out how do you attach the nissan emblem to the spped grille, I am installing mine this weekend. I know that you take it of the old grill but what is the best thing to use for attaching it to the new grill ,super glue
the car in your pics looks exactly like the one at custommaxima.com under grille/valance for 00-01 maxima. is it the same car? and they are selling them for 120 for the grille and 100 for the valance. what gives???

Nissan emblem
1. I actually purchased a new front Nissan emblem for a 2000 Maxima directly from my dealer for about $20-25. There are two prongs that stick out the back of the new emblem, which helped me to center and level it perfectly. My original emblem had the prongs snapped off. It comes with 3M tape already attached. I still have my original emblem, which I'll either reuse or sell after I purchase and put new tape on the back.
2. Yes, that is my car illustrated on the www.CustomMaxima.com website. Greg asked me if he could use my website pics in order to sell the Speed Grilles he offers on his site.
Peace,
Rich
