Does the Differential from an I30t VLSD tranny swap into a 4G max? DBM? Anyone?

I have a 96 5 speed and my transmission is going out and I need a rebuild. I thought that instead of buying an entire I30t transmission, the condition of which would be unknown to me, that I could just buy the limited slip differential from it, and put it in my tranny.

Can anyone tell me if this is possible. I really don't know a whole lot about transmissions. I know that companies like Quaife sell limited slip diffs, and that they are installed into your current tranny. Is there anything about the I30t VLSD that would prevent just swapping it in place of my current diff? Is one a direct replacement for the other? Do other parts need to be changed in the transmission as well? I'd like to avoid getting an entire new (or used) transmission because like I said, I wouldn't know the condition of said transmission, and I figured this may be a cheaper alternative.
