whats the paint used for the red/clears...

i have the 96 red/clears tails. well the clear outer ones and i need to know the color of the red for the tails to match the inner ones. anyone know. and how much layers and etc. to put on it. i tried the search but the damm thing hardly works. so ill just ask u guys. sorry and thanks for ur guys repsonses. take care brian

You can use "transparent candy apple red" model paint or you can get the expensive Vans brand paint to do them. The model paint you can get at Walmart or any craft store. It's made by Testors. You won't need but a few layers. When I did mine I used 5 layers and it was just a tad to dark. I also sprayed a clearcoat layer over it to help protect it from fading.

go to either walmart or a hobby store and ask for testors "transparent candy apple red"! you should've just ask me cause thats what i used on a lot of my parts!
