I did it, I tested my car above 180km/h.

From a stop to 180km/h, I think it is really fast. But when crusing from 100 accelerating to 180km/h, the computer always upshifts to 4th, making it alot slower.

btw, 113mph is 180km/h.

First of all it does not actually "downshift" at that speed, it is just the torque converter dropping to give you more power in 4th.

And I hit about 125mph going to work everyday since we have a nice Toll Road here in Virgina.

Most I ever do in my 93 is about 105mph. I still have the original suspension, so it starts to feel a little loose at 105.

Now my new 2001 that is a different story. I was doing 110 mph up a slight grade and it felt like I had a long way to go before loosing good control of the car. It also felt like the engine had a lot more power left. My exit was coming up, so I didn't get to push it any more. That and fuzz has been thick on the new expressway they just opened here. Nothing like new pavement.

O/D Button

Out of curiosity, what was stopping you from using your O/D button from keeping the car from upshifting?

No you dont want to move here, I was on my 2001 Suzuki GSX-R600 motorcycle and was going about 130mph and got nailed. But luckily the cop did not have his radar gun on and was just in traffic and did not have an "accurate" reading so he gave me a ticket for not obeying highway signs.

Yeah I was a lucky bastard. By the way the cop liked the bike!!!
