I just wanted to know wut else is required to be changed for 60k service besides spark plugs, fuel filter, oil filter, air filter, transmission fluid, and oil change?

Are the timing belts and PCV valve necessary for change? If so, how much do those parts cost from Nissan? Thanks guys!

Coolant should be changed at 60K.

Nissan says:
If towing a trailer, using a camper or a car-top carrier, or driving on rough or muddy roads, change (not just inspect) automatic transmission fluid every 30K miles or 24 months.

Aside from this Severe Service recommendation, Nissan does not require any change of ATF. However, many owners like to perform this service with the 60K maintenance procedure. It seems like cheap insurance.

Heat is the big enemy of automatic transmission fluid. The ATF suffers most if the vehicle is driven hard (racing or towing), in mountainous terrain, or extremely hot climates. Owners who use their Maximas in this way should consider installing an auxiliary transmission fluid cooler.

From your owner's manual:

Replace air cleaner filter
Replace engine coolant
Replace engine oil
Replace engine oil filter
Replace spark plugs (use platinum-tipped type)

Inspect drive belts
Inspect vapor lines
Inspect fuel lines
Inspect brake lines and cables
Inspect brake pads, discs, drums and linings
Inspect manual and automatic transaxle oil
Inspect steering gear linkage, axle and suspension parts
Inspect exhaust system
Inspect front drive shaft boots

There is no scheduled maintenance for the fuel filter unless the filter has become clogged due to vehicle operation "under extremely adverse weather conditions or in areas where ambient temperatures are either extremely low or extremely high."

You don't have a timing belt.

The owner's manual doesn't mention the PCV valve, but Haynes recommends inspecting it every 30,000 miles or 24 months.

hey...

I am wondering... Would the Service Engine Soon light come on at around 60k miles or if the oil wasn't changed in a while???? Funny thing happened, my check engine light came on yesturday just 6 hours after I passed the Emissions inspection with flying colors. Today I drove it to get my oil changed and it comes off.... I have 57,120 miles on my car.

thanks, I'm new to the world of VQ and how the ECU works on the 4th gens...

The Check Engine Light does not turn on automatically at any particular odometer reading.

The Check Engine Light is evidence that something is wrong. That "something" may be any number of things, some major and some minor. It might be nothing more than a loose fuel filler cap.

It is possible for the Check Engine Light to turn itself off. For more information read the Sticky ECU Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

ok, so it doesn't look like i hafta worry too much about the PCV valve. What i meant is if the "2 accessory belts" needed to be replaced for 60k service and NOT "the timing belt" since I don't have one? Has anyone replaced their "2 accessory belts"? If so, how much mileage did you have on your car and why did you change them?

I don't have too much knowledge about my car's engine components, so that's why I really don't know whether i have timing belts or accessory belts, etc. Thanks guys, any help would be appreciated!
