Who's rolling on sprint springs setup in city daily driving? How do you feel, is it a harsh ride on the bumps?

How does the ride compare to the stock SE springs?

To give you more information than Nick's super-helpful "yes...":

I have had Sprints for about 5 months and I think they are great. I drive about 75% highway, and these springs are great on the highway.

The little city driving that I do is not that bad. However, I just spent the weekend in Baltimore and DC and I would not put these springs on my car if I drove in either of those cities on a regular basis. It was just too much. I live in Rochester NY, and even the city roads here are in pretty good shape. I cringe everytime I go over Railroad tracks, but other than that, if you can avoid the large potholes (which I couldn't always in DC) then you'll be fine.

Yeah, it will. I have 17X8's and they are a lot harsher than my stock 15's.

18" rims with spring for city driving? i'd also invest in a butt cushion.. seriously.. its gonna be pretty bumpy.. u might be able to put up with it for a while, but after a couple months, your butt will hurt so bad and your head will bob so much that u'll probably go back to stock =(

Hope you handle it better than i handled my Intrax...I'm 18 and i hated them little too stiff for me so i nixed them after one week...gonna try H&R's or GC's if i can figure out a spring rate that is a compromise between comfort and performance...good luck though...

i heard the GC's were just as stiff if not stiffer...there was a thread about it a while back...even if you change the spring rate there still gonna be stiff as ****....whenever you go that low you can expect it....its just the price you gotta pay......

your but will not literally hurt. You just feel every imperfection in the road. I happen to do a lot of city driving now, and I have to weave around potholes because it rattles the heck out of my car......just drive carefully. The handling with great with wider than stock wheels and the sprints (and the kuhmos)

The problem is the lack of suspension travel that nissan inheritantly have. But I'm looking at a shortened threaded body strut and maybe shocks to accompany the GC springs...So i should be able to drop it and have a sort of decent ride, but I still have to do some research...

Thnx for the info

Thanks for all the info guys. I guess I have to diced wether to sacrifice a little comfort for the look. Some people said that the H+R R little softer. But the drop is 1.4 front 1.3 rear. I wold like at least 2".

Pawn, what you do plan on doing with your 5-spoke rims? Would you think about selling them? I'm looking for a set.

i have 18" rims with the sprint and koni setup.its not that bad you have to like the ride which i happen to..you just have to avoid pot holes as much as you can but thats kind of hard in hudson county nj.of course its much stiffer than stock but the handling is like day and night..
