I've been lurking here for about a month and want to tell y'all that this forum is great. It is largely because of you guys and all the good things I've heard about Maximas that I decided to buy one. I had been thinking about a couple of other cars but was underwhelmed by the participants on their forums. There are a number of places I would go and all the posts were complaints either about their cars or about how people (magazines, other owners) were always disrespecting their cars...very disappointing especially when they are talking about $30K cars.
I really liked y'alls attitude as a group, there is a lot less cussing on this board than many of the others and y'all seem to love your cars and respect others vehicles also.
My baby, her name is actually Bjork-thus my username, is a week old now. If anyone is looking for a Nissan in the Central Kentucky area I would suggest Andy Ryan Nissan in Winshester, Kentucky. It is a small town and the dealer treated me very well. I love her so far, can't wait to break 1000 miles so we can have some fun. I got an awesome deal, Edmund's TMV, and an awesome vehicle. Never thought I would drive a white car but I must say that I think she is a beaut.
Enough from me, I hope to participate some in the forums.
Thanks
Jim

your dealer...
your dealer can make or break the maxima ownership experience. there's nothing wrong with our cars that couldnt be easily fixed if service was willing. I think most of all the complaints here come from service. The cars are engineered well and will easily outlast/outclass the competition. It's just the eternal battle for the smallest repair that gets us jaded.
mmmmmm, Bjork.. oh but I digress..

Funny thing is...
srbarnes4ever and matt92gxe
I actually work at Lexmark...I'm in building 005, you can see my car, though very dirty today, parked in the back by a Lexus IS300 and a Camry Solara. This is pretty crazy.
I might be interested in a meet. What do you do at a meet? Never been to one before.

I believe I may have passed you yesterday morning, did you get onto New Circle from either Harodsburg or Versailles Rd. I remember passing a white 2K1 with temporary tags in it....I was commenting to my girlfriend on how I'd like to have the muffler for its 5 ponies....we'll definitely get together sometime....

2001 AE Icelandic Pearl
I believe you will really enjoy the car. I bought a 2001 AE Icelandic Pearl in March. It is a fun car to drive, most of the guy's go for the standard shift but I got the Automatic. The only thing I have still not gotten use to is the Leather seats. My wife thinks they are the most comfortable seats she has ever set in so maybe some day I will feel that way about them to. Enjoy your car.
Excellent choice! Before you know it you will be wanting to add some mods to your car. I suggest to start off with...FSTB (Front Strut Tower Brace) and some clear bumper lights. Then you can add an intake a Rear Sway Bar (I will be getting one soon). Feel free to ask anyone any questions you have and have fun with it!
