I knew it was a mistake to go to the Forum again....you guys just whet my apetite and that means money out of my pocket. Can those of you who have Eibachs progressive rate springs indicate the amount the car (2000-1)was lowered, if the car settled at all and if you have pictures online somewhere? Also, which of the spring manufacturers (concerned with progressive rate springs only)provide for the least amount of lowering? Look forward to everyone's input. Thanks. JW.

Put your mouse over Automobiles and click on My Y2K Max. Look at all the links with Max in them.

Can someone explain the difference to progressive springs and "non-progressive" springs? Thanks

Progressive rate springs get stiffer the more you compress them. Non-progressive springs have the same spring rate regardless of how much they are compressed.

Newbie question for Kevin

I love the way your car looks Kevin, but my car is harsh right now with the SE suspension and 18" rims. I dont like the HR drop because it makes the rear too low in comparison to the front. I have been looking at the Progress springs...but I have yet to find the best price for them.

Kevin...do you know of the progress springs are less harsh compared to the eibach springs? I don't mind the ride quality going down a little bit...but I remember people buying the Eibach's faster than hotcakes and then selling them shortly afterwards because it wasn't fun to ride in the car because every bump was a nightmare.

Is it that bad with the Eibach's compared to the SE suspension? Are the people that bought and sold the Eibachs wussies because their car was a GXE or a GLE and now the car feels like an SE?

I know there is one person on here that has the progress springs...and his car looks pretty tight (Pearl of course). If you are reading..... let me know what you think of your new purchase!
