I'm thinking about changing my front struts to KYB gr2. Does anybody know if I need strut mounts to or could I use the old ones. Also, do I have to do anything special when I replace the struts considering the macpherson struts have a special insert to adjust to the weight of the car. Any info is appreciated!!

 

It depends if your strut mounts are worn. If you do decide to get strut mounts, DO NOT GET KYBs. They don't work. I had a ton of trouble when I installed them and ended up returning them for new Nissan strut mounts. KYB struts are great though.
