Since I am going to run G-Stock, I am not allowed to have a FSTB. So I did a test. I ran my first runs with it. Then took it off. Here are the results.

With FSTB: 52.3, 49.5, 48.7
Without FSTB: 51.2, 50.5, 50.1

The numbers tell how much it helps. Plus, the runs without the bar, those benifited with me knowing the course. It really made a big difference in the slalom or quick S's.

Not a bad mod for $40.

 

You quote numbers without units. Autocrossers may know what those numbers mean but the rest of us don't. 52.3 whats? Seconds? Minutes? Miles Per Hour? Foot-pounds? Furlongs Per Fortnight?

 

Sorry, that is in seconds. Courses usually are any where from 45-90 seconds long.

 

Hey, what is the torque rating for wheel lugs?

 

72-87 lb-ft, I believe. Torque them in a criss-cross pattern.

 

 

"Got Rice ?" gave the right information. I tighten my wheel nuts to 80 foot-pounds. I believe it is more important to tighten them equally that to any particular torque setting in the factory-recommended 72-87 foot-pound range.
