Bought a new maxima yesterday night. Got a pretty good deal on the car, $1000 under invoice and 4.9% on my new maixma gxe with comfort and convenience package in icelanic pearl.

I don't know what i enjoyed the best; placing the first few miles on the engine during the test drive, driving away with my new car after the deal was closed, or when the desk manager ran to our car after we were buckled in already when the deal had stalled. I wanted $1100 under invoice and he ran to our car saying, ok, ok you win, $1000 under invoice. That was funny as he would not budge on the $600 holdback that he was willing to give...I said give me a few minutes and he left us as I sat there and talked to my girlfriend about how her day went for about 5 minutes, then we signalled and closed the deal.

Got a new car, and taught my girlfriend how to play some of the games. Now only if I could get some smoked SE tailights.

You didn't spring the extra $$ for the 2002?

If the price is right then you should've gotten the new 2002 Maxima instead. But anyway good choice on the new Maxima. Go out and mod it now!!

2001

It was the 2001.

If I got the 2002 for $1000 under invoice I would still be at the dealer right now bargaining. I think I got a good deal without a factory rebate out there.

There was a 2002 black SE on showroom floor

It was pretty basic with sunroof and a few other additions. Thought about it, but would like to get back to grad school some time and 3 to 4 thousand rolled into the loan in the form of higher payments did not sound too attractive for the future. I really like the 2001, been thinking about it for awhile, it was just Carpe Diem.

Congradulations

Welcome!!!
Sounds like you got a good deal, which is always good news. At least you're happy, and that's what matters. Enjoy!

Welcome to the org. and enjoy your car. I can't take my wife to buy a car, because she believes the managers when they say they are not making any $ on the deal! She gets very jumpy and will take any deal remotely close without thinking about it first.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Adam is selling his SE taillights.

Get the 2002 Taillamps!

They look much better on Icelandic Pearl than the old SE taillamps. I installed my '02 tails last week and they go very well with the color and chrome on the car.

Re: Get the 2002 Taillamps!

Thank you all for welcoming me. That is what I like about this forum, there is so much love around.

I was enjoying my Maxima on Pebble Beach's 17 mile road this weekend. It handled well and looked great sittin' their on the side of the road, as I walked back to the car from the beach cliff.

Warrlocked, those 2002 tails do look pretty nice in your picture. How much are they going for? Probably posted in another posting, but does anyone know off the top of their head? Also, what tint are you using on your pearl, looks nice.

Thanks for the shout out.

The 2002 tails were $217 with shipping. Order them at 1800-251-7278. They are worth the look they give an Icelandic Pearl Max.
