That's a great deal to be in on, though!! I warn you. I've watched professionals install it. If you don't keep your hands completely clean, you'll have fingerprints in the glue. It took 3 guys to get my hood piece on, and they still left a couple marks.
I don't recommend trying this yourself. Think of this: the 3M website would offer you one free piece, that was because you're certain to rip, crease or damage the film, so they offered you a free piece in order to make up for it.
It's worth every penny for a professional install..

I want your car, my mom got the auto, and that's a bad *** car! I test drove the manual and the guy let me dump the clutch at 4500! What a rush! Quattro is KING! My favorite experience is getting it sideways taking a turn at 40 on a damp road, its so much fun feeling the quattro bring it under control. amazing! nice car!

It's a clear film that is applied to part of your hood and/or bumper to protect from chips and stuff. 3M makes it, and it is supposed to be very good. It is almost undetectable on your car if it is installed correctly. Check the group deal forum for some more info.

And if my car already has chips how do I fix that problem? get it repainted and then put the 3M on it?

Yes, this will only protect you once you put it on. It's protection powers are not, unfortunately, retroactive!

Does anyone know how well this mask ages? Does it get scuffed and dull after normal washing/waxing?

Thanks
