i installed my Premier DEX-P1R a couple months ago, but the tuner thoroughly sucks...everything is plugged in right with the antenna adapter and stuff, but the reception is pretty terrible. the system sounds phat when it's playing cd's, but i would like to have a better sounding radio. thanks in advance...

Check to see how snug the antenna adapter is in the back of the cd player. If it's somewhat loose, you'll get ****ty reception. Also, check your wiring again, maybe you have a wire crossing somewhere. Make sure none of the speaker or antenna wires are running across or close to the power, ground, or control wires.
Good luck, hope this helps.

Yup, recheck all wiring. Check your antenna wiring especially. And yeah, like civicpride said, the grounding too.
