6 Speed Manual Availability

Does anyone have reliable info on when the 6 speed manual transmission will be available for the 2002 Maxima? I've heard/read anywhere from mid-October until January. Nissan's website simply says "late availability." I've ordered a 2002 6 speed and now I sit and wait. Please let me know if you have definitive information on when it may be available. Thanks.

From what I've heard from my nissan dealer...they are scheduled to start arriving mid-November, although some dealers may not see there first ones untill December.

Does that mean that Nissan won't start building the
HLSD-equipped 6spd manuals until December (I believe
the "date available" listed was 12/01 at the Nissan
website) which would then imply that we won't be see
any HLSD-6spd until January, 2002 at the earliest?

January or February, 2002 just seems like quite a
while--- considering that they released the automagics
on August 2, 2001 (almost half a year). Does Nissan save
money by making those of us who want the HLSD-6speed-
manual wait?

Considering that most of the Maximas sold are Auto, maybe they're just catering to the majority of buyers first.

I was told by my Nissan dealer that HLSD may not be available until February of 2002. That would make sense if the 6 speed is being delayed. By that time, the 2003 won't be far away.

Blah..
The release date for the 6spd is STILL October 1st, so expect to see them mid October{depending on location}.

The HLSD is scheduled for 12/1/01.

Were are these rumors coming from? Stop the maddness!
