Didn't realize until it started detonating. No audible detonation coming from Jane's car (3.25" pulley) with the 3:1 installed.

Vortech is FedEx'ing the next kits to us for free (). Would've been a disaster if we didn't know what detonation sounded like.

6Z170-050 is the 3:1 (WAY LESS FUEL)
6Z170-020 is what we ordered 8:1

Just a friendly warning to all you ordering stuff from Vortech.

Sort of like marbles bouncing in a tin can.

By the way, this is for the Vortech Fuel Management Unit that the supercharger owners have.

Sucks that they don't show pictures of what the kit includes, but I don't blame them.

I'll PM you. Thanks for the info.

Gotta love that Vortech C.S.

I had a similiar problem with Vortech, and they were great about fixing it... It sux that they messed up, but it also allows you to see what kind of company they are... Why couldn't Vortech be the one that developed the SC kit...

Cool, I didn't know Jane switched to a 3.25! =) How much faster does her car seem as opposed to the stock pulley?

It's holding up fine for now. I haven't taken the car to redline yet because of the detonation problem (should be fixed by today). Boost kicks in a bit before 2K (not sure of the exact rpm)... fun huh? How's yours?

The FMU disc Stillen includes has the 6:1 setting. You shouldn't need to adjust it unless you have a 3.25" pulley or smaller.

Re: Hey Kevving...

I'm next guys, another Y2K silver auto... I hope I have as much luck as Kev did (it's all in the colour right? )...

Though I won't get to the heavy labour until sometime in June even July... I have a ram-packed schedule for the next while, and no time to allow for proper post-install care

On the upside, I'll have a REAL idler pulley machined for me while I wait

Get the metal pulleys from DanNY.

dashingmax 8:1 disc is the disk that goes inside the FMU it increases fuel pressure, for me at 10PSI the fuel pressure goes to 100PSI. The size of the disc is 2.22 inches from end to the other. I ghetto rigged my fuel pressure gauge total cost was $12.00 for parts. Check out my home page.

Kevin good you caught that 3:1 disc or the engine would not survived.
