I am looking into getting an electrical EGT gauge to work with my NOS. For those of you that have done it, how did you install it? Meaning, how does it take the exhaust temperature reading? I am looking into this matter before I buy it. Also, what manufacturer produces the best EGT gauge for the best price. I am looking into one with a white face and black bezel. Thanks all.

I have the APEXi EL EGT gauge. It has full electronic memory, warning light and peak hold. I paid ~250. The Autometer gauges are less expensive but do not have the electronics.

I installed my temp sender by drilling into the front exhaust manifold and taping the hole. I left the motor running while I drilled so the metal chips would blow out the hold instead of falling down into the exhaust system. It was actually an easy install.
