Keiths (Sinewave) 96' Maxima broke down in Houston. He's their on business for a few days. It wont shift into reverse. He has found a shop to do a swap for him. He wants to do an auto VLSD swap. He needs to know what other parts are different, axels, seals mounts etc that he will need to get to swap in a rebuilt auto VLSD. Do you know?

When I was looking to do a 5speed to 5-speed VLSD tranny swap, I was told that the axles were different. Whether this applies to automatics, I don't know. Actually, I'm not sure I trust the shop that told me they were different, so take even that with a grain of salt. They just seemed like idiots to me and couldn't answer my other simple questions.

As far as Keith's problem, do you think he could just call a local (USA) Nissan dealership and ask the part numbers for the axles, and then call information and get the # for a Canadian Nissan dealership and get their part numbers and compare them? Just a thought.

he should juss need driveaxles, and new seal. one should be the same the other should be like 2x bigger then the non LSD one. This is true for the manual LSD and im pretty sure the auto LSD would be the same.
