I have a 1996 maxima and it's a very nice car except for one thing. The paint of the back of my car has little bubble like stuff appeared. My friend told me it's oxidation from the rain with the combination of the sun's heat. Can any one tell me how to get raid of that bubble-like thing on my car. I try to wax it and wash it with soap and it didn't come off.

RE: Oxidation...

Your friend is correct. The same thing happened to my brother's 1995 Honda Accord V6EX. The problem cannot be removed, even with all the oxidation removers you can find (which are all harmful to your clearcoat). The best thing to do it leave it alone. I personally find that Nissan has cheap paint, and it has many problems. I am looking into repainting my car (the stock color), and maybe using a higher grade of paint (Mercedes which never wears off maybe). Sorry I couldn't help much,
Cyrus

Wouldn't it be horrible if someone keyed your car? $500.00 deductable = new paint.

Just a bit to change colors? Damn, I want to know where you guys get paint jobs.

Really, I think, depends more on care after the paint than the paint itself. Practically all the Benzos I see (and I work at a car wash on the weekends...) have lackluster paint. Scratches and swirls galore, and no gloss left, and these are mid to late 90s benzos. Of course, most of the ones I notice are black. And the drivers probably don't take very good care of their cars at all (They are taking it to a touchless wash...).

Well, you know what I'm trying to say. Just use the Meguiars 25-step process or whatever every two weeks and your paint will last (Or be like me and get a beige car, so nothing gets noticed)

did you purchase your car new? Have you taken care of the paint since day 1?
