Rims for 2k Maxima!

Time to buy new rims and tires for my Max but still trying to decide what would look the best on my car. I don't like anything thats chrome and I do plan on going with 18's from my current 16's. I've looked at Konigs already and Racing Harts but does anyone else have any suggestions as to what rim/tire combination would look good on a Sterling Mist 5th. Gen? Thanks all for your help.

that all depends on how much you want to spend on your rims and tires...

if money wasn't an issue for me, i'd have bought the Volk SE92s or TE37s....in a heartbeat...

I know a lot of the Sentra people back home have the ADR Racing ones, but those are four lug cars. You can also go with Advan, but those are pricey. Also, are you looking to drop the car and use low profiles, or keep the stock height like and use regular tires? I personally like the SSR GT1s, and will probably be getting these in 17x8 in the coming months. These too, are a bit on the pricey side. Ace alloy wheels also makes some wheels. You can check them out at www.acealloywheel.com. Check out www.tirerack.com for some nice comparisons.

Keegs....aloha! Nice to hear from you again and glad to see that you venture outside our little thread in Hawaii. I went down today to WMR off of Nimitz and looked at some ADR Racing rims and they look alright. Also saw the Advan that you were talking about as well. They said that they could order me the Konigs if I want and install them for around $1500 but not sure if I want to get Konigs or not. Didn't see any SSR GT1s there but I will look around. Probably will have new rims and tires by next week. Will let you know.

Hey what's up Todd...yeah, this forum is my other home. lol I don't think you'll find the SSRs there. They have to be ordered from the mainland. The SSRs are gonna cost you a lot more than 1500, so I would go with the Konigs (what type? Tantrums??) and use whatever you have left for the performance mods. That way you will kill two or more birds with one stone. I don't think I'm gonna do performance yet..other than maybe a CAI, but we'll see.

Some places to looks at rims!

I am not sure if you know of these places....

www.tirerack.com
www.tires.com
www.sportscartire.com

All three of these websites have a virtual maxima that you can throw rims on. I like the sportscartires one the best. (you can even play with the suspension)

If you are looking at 18" Konig rims you should consider the Toxin rims (16 pounds for the 18"). They are about 5-6 pounds lighter per rim than all of the other 18" Konig rims.

I have bought rims from tirerack and Discount Tire...and they are both excellent places to purchase from.

I do love the way your 19's look!

17" = Mack Daddy
18" = Pimp Daddy
19" = The Daddy

Are those Eibach springs? The drop looks perfectly even....you gotta love that look!
