Whats a good price for this car? Need to talk to dealer

My dealership has a Brand new Black 2001 SE 5-Speed for sale. Loaded except leather package. They want 26k which seems high, especially since its not fully loaded and the 2002's are now out. Its been there for like 2-3 months also, how much should I offer for it?

Find out what exact packages are on the car so go back and take a look at the addenum. It maybe similar like mine. I only wanted Comfort & Conv. package w/ sunroof & no leather but with the BOSE added and 17 inch wheels in a SE along with a few added extras and the sticker was $27,792.00 for a 2001-Blk SE.
I rode out at $24,100.

I would see right off the bat if they would do $3,500 off
See if they actually want to sell a car. I use to sell them so I know some info on the behavior of those CAR FOLK.

YEAH, but what is your interest rate on the loan? What is deceiving is that youll get a low out the door price, but with a 6.0% APR on the financing, you'd be paying a lot more for the car at 25, then someone with 26,00 and 3.9% financing.

i got a similar car about 3 months ago and payed $23.3K for it. u should be able to talk em down to at least that, if not lower especially with the 2002's that are out. if you just graduated from college, they have a graduate program that can get u the lowest APR available. did mine that way and am only paying at 3.9%. good luck!

Find out the invoice price with the options on the car. Then go in on the last business day of the month when they are drooling to make a sale.
Start out at invoice and go no more than say $200 to $400 over.
I bought a 2000 SE with all options. the Sticker was $29k and I got the car for invoice or $26K. I did it on a sunday and didn't get out untill 9:00 pm, 2 hours after their closing time.
Good Luck
