ARGHHH!!! I freaking replaced the wrong O2 sensor.
2 days after I replaced the o2 and reset the ECU. The check engine light came on again. My freaking 1999 cali spec has three o2 sensors on the right bank and one on the left bank. Right bank is the cylinders that are closer to the front of the car and the left bank is the one towards the rear of the car. One rear O2 is on the precat and the other rear O2 is right after it on the Y-pipe. I replaced one of the left bank "front" O2 sensor instead by mistake because I didn't read the FSM carefully. $113 lesson...
hmm.... what a coincidence.... I have my check engine light on also because of a slow reading O2 sensor. I took it into the dealer, and I think they said the front O2 sensor on the front manifold is bad. Luckily it isn't one of the other three.... they probably wouldn't replace it since I have a y-pipe and RT cat..

From where?
I checked Tacoma and Vester. Both places sell it for $103 + shipping. Hook me up with a phone number.

Heres a easy salution to your proble,m, it's free too!
First remove the new O2 sensor and put back the old one it it's original place. Next remove the o2 sensor that is defective. No you have the broken o2 sensor out and the new one out, what you do is cut the wire off the new and old o2 sensor, now soder the wire from the old o2 sensor onto the new o2 sensor, finish it off with a little electrical tape and install it in the correct location. I am pretty sure all the o2 sensors are the same on the Y-pipe so it should work just fine.
Another possibility is if the wire is long enough you can just put the new o2 sensor in the right place.
