Installed Pop Charger/Service engine light?

I instlaled my pop charger today. Started the car and the Service Engine Soon light came on and won't go away.... I talked to someone else who said this is something he has heard happens often. But I have never seen it mentioned. Has anyone else had this happen and how can i get the light to go away?

did you unplug the sensor in the old Airbox, and leave it disconnected?? you gotta reconnect it, even if its loose in the engine bay, or the check engine light will go off almost instantly.

Perhaps you disconnected the harness from a sensor. If so, reconnect it and reset the Engine Control Module. Read the Sticky Thread Important: ECU Diagnostic Trouble Codes. The first post in that thread points you to a Web site which provides detailed instructions for this.

To which sensor are you referring?

Did you instal the stillen pop? If so, did you have to extend the wire to temp. sensor?

Either the Ambient Air Temp Sensor or the MAFS.

Agreed. If the car runs well it is the Ambient Air Temperature Sensor (a/k/a Intake Air Temperature Sensor). If the car runs poorly it is the Mass Air Flow Sensor.

The car runs fine and everything is connected. I believe I just need to reset the ECU for the light to go away. It was the MAF Sensor that I unplugged during installation, that was the only sensor I dealt with during the process.

Thanks!
