I changed the idle setting on my car to compensate for my custom CAI, and after I did this I hear a ticking noise coming from the right side of the engine. What could this be?

 

i did the same thing when i put on my CAI. I set the car to about 800 rpm's at idle. I did notice that the intake is alot louder now at idle and sound almost like a Super Charger from the outside of the car. Kinda nice, yet annoying at times. As for the ticking, i have no clue! maybe a bad TPS or loose conection somewhere. Double check all you hoses and intake parts.

 

ok I'll check them. Thanks for the comment. Its nice to see that someone else has actually done the same thing as me. Also after CAI is there anything that you can replace or upgrade on the intake side of performance? I have heard of some little things for the intake system but I am not sure what they are.
